Gun Safety in SLP
Guns and Community Safety We take community safety very seriously. Our campaign has been in contact with Bryan Kruelle, Chief of Police, City of St. Louis Park, regarding gun safety. Here is what he shared: State law does not allow cities to regulate firearms, ammunition, or their components. This is the preemption law. Neighborhood Association Organizing and Grants in SLP
Hi all! I have been interested in starting a Neighborhood Association in Triangle since I learned about the program while campaigning for City Council. I have been in touch with the city's Community Engagement Coordinator about the process, and I wanted to share what I have learned here. Here is the process to organize a neighborhood in SLP. To move things forward, the first step is to organize your neighborhood. I’ve attached the Neighborhood Revitalization Program training

Voter Trends and Staying in the Fight
Voter trends in SLP's Municipal Election. After the election, I got curious about who was voting in our municipal elections. I created a map based on the percentage of registered voters who voted in this election, and ranked the Precincts in order of highest turnout to lowest turnout. I then superimposed a map of the SLP Precincts over a map of SLP median household income by block group from 2022. See below for the results. Figure 1: SLP Precincts Ranked by Voter Turnout (%

Election Results Analysis
One of the many (many) benefits of Ranked Choice Voting is that we get more information from the results than we otherwise would in a non-ranked choice election. Read my analysis and pontification here.

I learned a lot from the community of vendors there about how they started their businesses, the challenges they were facing, and their dreams for the future. I also learned a lot about the L
