Gun control in the West Metro

Edina successfully passed new gun laws in 2026. St. Louis Park needs to step up and make a plan for gun control laws that can go into effect once state preemption is lifted. We can go before the City Council and ask for gun control to be added to the legislative priorities next year.

Advocacy for Dave Velk

I have organized and raised funds for my fellow music community member, Dave Velk, who was killed by gun violence in 2023. His case remains unsolved. Join me in advocating for Dave Velk and his family by asking local law enforcement and the candidates for Hennepin County Attorney to work on his case. Dave's life mattered, and his death should not go unnoticed by our community and city and county institutions.

Call these two numbers for updates on the case. Head of Minneapolis Police homicide, Lt. Schroeder: 612-673-2117. The office of the Governor of Minnesota: 651-201-3400.

All the best,

Sarah
